I want to add my CD singles collection. Is there a way to integrate it with the albums but being able to identify that it is a single as opposed to an album, when searching.

Apologies - didn’t read the question closely. Besides I don’t even have the web version!
You can use the format field and modify it from being CD to being “CD Single”
You can set Format as a column in your list, or click the folder icon top left to group by Format!
