CDID syncing

I’m an old customer and I use the of CLZ Music Collector Desktop version 21.3.2

I add albums only by scanning the CD media.

I’ve noticed the freedb ID of all my CDs are empty after Cloud Sync :frowning:

What should I do to keep my CD IDs?

Hi @oddjack , CDID/freedb id is indeed not a field that syncs through CLZ Cloud.

Can I ask why you need it?
Are you moving to a new computer?

I usually complete the data from the CLZ database with information from Discogs after adding a CD by scanning the media.

When I realize the data could improve the CLZ database, I submit the CD to CLZ Core.

Since I use different devices, sometimes the data completion happens on a different device, and I’m not able to submit it.

Also, I have some CDs that are different editions or reissues, but they contain different CD IDs.

By the way, I think the URL field in the Persons Pick List is also not syncing with my CLZ Cloud. Was this fixed in a later version?

So if the reason you need the CDID synced is for submitting, I’m afraid I have to advise to just “not submit it” - or re-scan the disc on the device you are using at that point.

Or, fix it when you add it, and then submit.

But don’t worry about us and submitting - feel free to just add it to your collection, fix it for yourself if need be, and leave it at that :slight_smile:
