CLZ Games 9.4.1 (Status: Basic) no longer able to sync with Cloud

Dear CLZ-Team :slight_smile:

I had to clear my Games Cloud and uploaded all entries with the Games Desktop version, but now I am no longer to sync it with iPhone and iPad CLZ Games 9.4.1 !?

Subscription status under My CLZ Software says BASIC, in the apps it says NONE. I actually wanted to subscribe earlier this year but unfortunately subscribed for CLZ Comics (!) Web (which I do not need) till 2nd of January 2025. Silly me.

BTW: There is even the ‘force’ sync button visible on both CLZ apps (iPhone and iPad) - pressing it does nothing

What happens when you try?

That is as expected, as you are still using the app in grandfathered mode.

Sync would now work (I cancelled it for now), as it first wants to upload local changes to the Cloud (6426 entries (which I do not see in the App!)), which probably means that the data in the Cloud is overwritten and then the App wants to download Cloud Changes (6427, 1 new entry I made yesterday on the PC).

Should I proceed with Sync?
On the PC all the images are now correctly linked with higher resolution images stored on the PC harddrive. I just do not want to have all entries overwritten with the different linkage to the lower quality images from the Cloud.

If your cloud is the most up-to-date copy of your database, then I recommend to clear the database in your app, then download all data from the CLZ Cloud again.

Here’s how to do that:

  • open the app
  • from the menu, choose Maintenance, then Clear Database
  • then, again from the menu, choose Sync with CLZ Cloud to download your data.

Can you please let me know if that worked or not?

Alwin, the database was already cleared, but used the Maintenance option again. Now syncing, which will take probably an hour or two. I keep you posted.
