I installed the CLZ scanner app today and was completely confused by the login procedure. First of all, when I click on the scanner icon in CLZ Web, no code appeared on screen for me to scan. Then I noticed the option to login with username and password. I used the ones with which I access my collection on CLZ Music Web, but it said: ‘Inva;id Login’. It’s driving me nuts…
Alternatively, clicking the scanner button in the Add Album screen on CLZ Music Web (on your computer), should indeed give a QR code for you to scan as login - but I would suggest to double check your password situation (because that should really just work)
How can I scan a QR code on a screen using the same tablet that the scanner app is on? Is there a trick for that? I feel a bit stupid, but I can’t figure that out. Anyway, for some reason it suddenly worked (though I don’t know how…)
And I tried the user/login again, making absolutely sure capitalization is correct, but I keep getting “Invalid login”. The password is correct and I tried other user names, like my full email address and variations on the capitalsm but to no avail. The exact combination does work for logging in to my collection, so I know it is correct.
Then, when using the scanner app, I tried to log in to my CLZWeb collection again, but was rebuked. It then transpired that for some reason my user name and password had reverted to previous ones!
I am now seriously confused. I will close all apps and my browser and verify which login credentials actually work.
This is not possible. You’re not stupid. The QR code login was created with the mind that one would have CLZ Web open on a computer, then scan the QR code with CLZ Scanner on their phone.
There is no way this can happen in our systems, - we do not keep past passwords on our systems - I need this to be very clear for everyone who would ever read this - but good to hear you found it and are able to log in. We have seen in the past that users were getting some automatic password filled in because of their browser automatic settings.
QR Code: Glad to hear I haven’t lost my marbles yet! Still, the instructions could be clearer. Don’t assume that a 72-year-old has the same intuitive understanding of these things as 20-something
Login: Well, I can’t argue with that, but something confusing must have happened, because before I started using the web version, I already had a password for CLZ Club (which I had stored somewhere safe) and that definitely worked. I also had and still have a user/password for my ‘general’ Collectorz account and apparently this now also works for the forum/club. Anyway, I can access both now, so all’s good.
