Collections

As far as i know Foldergrouping, Sorting Options and Column Selections should be seperated by Collections so that every Collections has its own Set of this.

I have two collections and all of these settings are shared betweenn the collections.
When i customize or choose one of these in one collection and switch to the other than i.e. the Foldergrouping stays the same and i have to choose another Foldergrouping which fits the other Collection.

Is there something buggy or am i doing/thinking something wrong?

Any Suggestion/comments on this?

And if its a simple “No, you are stupid, let me explaion how it works.”

Sorry we missed this post, my apologies!

Foldergrouping is indeed “database wide” and not “saved per collection” - this is on our ideas list, but is quite a big one to implement and has not made the cut yet. So you’re not crazy, it’s just not possible to save sorting/folders/columns “per collection” right now

Then it seems i missunterstodd this posting:

"You are free to use collections for any sub-sets of your database, but keep in mind: collections are completely separate parts of your database! This means:

Totals and Statistics are per collection. There are no “overall” stats.
Searches are “within” the collection you are in. There is no “overall” search.
**The same holds for folders and sorting, all happens “within” the current collection.**

"
This is for the Mobile App, but there it doesnt work either.

Anyway, thanks for Clarification and i hope this comes for both one day or another.

The sentence you might’ve fallen over means that if you folder on “Format”, you will only see formats that are inside that single collection.

It does not talk about saving sort/folder settings “per collection” - that would be a huge feature, and is on our ideas list.

Apologies if the sentence felt like it said that we already had it. Would be pretty cool haha (no programming, and already having the feature
