Copy text issue

An annoying small issue I ran into when I started to use the Cloud app and now also the Web app. Problem:
Copy text with Ctrl+C doesn’t work most of the time. Steps:

  1. Open Cloud or Web, doesn’t matter
  2. Select any movie, doesn’t matter which one
  3. Select barcode from the details window
  4. Ctrl+C
  5. now try to past it somewhere, the selected text is not pasted.

Sometimes it works the first couple of times, but if I select a couple of different movies, suddenly it doesn’t work anymore. (not 100% sure about this yet)

Right mouse button and selecting Copy does work 100% of the time when Ctrl+C fails. It is only giving problems when using the keyboard.

I am using Firefox 135.0 on my desktop computer. Also tried Chrome, and it does seem to work correctly over there. I also disabled all my Extensions in Firefox to make sure none of the plugins is messing around.

Now it gets weird for me:

  • I wasn’t able to reproduce this issue on my laptop (yet) with Firefix 135.0 or any other website I visit. I never noticed this issue on any other website.
  • When I copy really slowly it does work 100% of the time. Explanation: When I copy I do it really quick. Ctrl+C very quick, within a second. But if I do it slowly: press Ctrl, hold it for a second, press C, hold it for a short while, then it is copied successfully.
  • Or Ctrl+C, quickly, twice in a row also works reliably.
  • I checked the Firefox forums, and it looks like similar bugs were present in Firefox in the past but all resolved, but your web app (and cloud url) is the only site where I have this problem.
  • On cloud (Twazerty's movies » CLZ Cloud for Movies) I can copy the title at all times (tried it a dozen times). This is the only field on cloud I can copy reliably. On web (Online movie database software » CLZ Movies Web) the same issue as all other text in the details window.

Does this problem sound familiar?
Please don’t spend to much time on it specifically for me, unless you can reproduce it easily or other users also recognize this problem. Or don’t respond at all for now until I know more than I already added.

My use case: I copy barcode (or movie title) a lot to look it up on blu-ray.com or google to find release dates. Only to find out the barcode/text isn’t copied, and I do a search with the previous value under my clipboard. I figured out Ctrl+C twice works, but it is so in my system to do it only once. So each time I do a wrong search.

I will try some more stuff tomorrow to see if I can either fix it somehow or reproduce it on my laptop.

I tried in Firefox and Chrome, on a Windows machine, using Control+C, but it seems to always grab it for me. I might not have been as fast as “1 second” before “double clicking” on the barcode as you on each click, but I can’t get it to “not copy” on my side right now.
