In picklist I can find the creator I want but it only gives me a merge option.
I want to find the books I have the creator worked on.
Have you looked to group your collection by Folders?
I have mine typically set to Series. In the below image, you can see where it has “Series.”
(It’s also on Mobile, too, if you use the app).
If you click/tap on that Series, you get a LOT of folder options. You can group your comics by publisher, date added, etc. You can also select your creator role (cover artist, inker, etc.).
Depending on the role, you may need to check a couple of folders. For example, the person who did the cover might be “cover artist” or “cover penciller.” There’s an “All Creators” folder to search every role.
You can also create your own folder groupings by using “Manage Favorites.” So you could create Publisher / Artist folders. That would allow you to first choose DC then choose George Perez so you can see all comics Perez did specifically for DC.
Does that give you what you want?

that can work but I don’t want to make a permanent change to current sort (publisher/title)
