With the upcoming ability to add custom field to the comics mobile app, will we also have the ability to run a custom report? There are sorting and calculations I would love to run in the app (amount spent per month, week, cross referenced by age of book). There’s a bunch of other statistics I would love to run and graph if allowed a little access under the hood. Thanks!
You will be able to use Folders on certain custom fields, but the custom fields feature does not contain the ability to run a custom report on fields that already exist in the app (age and purchase price and purchase dates are already fields in the app) (I don’t see how that would be connected, but perhaps I’m missing something).
That would be on the ideas list.
But can you tell me how a custom report is connected to the ability to create your own fields?
I thought that if opening up the UI a bit by allowing custom fields we would be able to use those field to cross index with other fields in the database. I would like to run a report on my purchasing price with higher detail against the age of the book, put in my own calculation algorithms for summary output and other details. Right now I track all of my purchases in a spreadsheet and this app. Would like to just input once and have the same ability to use the data in both calculations and summary.
Thank you for your reply! Creating a custom report (from fields that exist, or that you can create) is on the ideas list, but no promises.
