Hi,
Right now, the main page when logging into my Connect account shows all the collections (including the ones I don’t have)—is there a way to remove them?
Changing the layout would also be nice, but that’s a bonus!
To remove collections, you can click the menu top left, then click “Manage Collections”.
You can remove empty collections there!
As for the layout, you can modify the layout of the panels using this button top right in the main screen:
Is that what you’re looking for?
I was talking about the landing page. When you go to https://connect.collectorz.com/, you can see all your collections—movie collections, Book collections, Music collections, etc.
I would like to do the following:
- Change the order of these collections
- Remove the ones I am not using - for example, if I don’t use ‘Book Collection’, I don’t want its panel to appear on my page.
Does that make sense?
It is not possible to change the landing page to remove the ones you don’t use, or re-order them. The landing page is on our to-do list as a “ripe for overhaul” though. But for now I’m afraid I can’t help you here.
Thanks. If you guys are considering redesigning the landing page, it would be great if you can consider the following functionality:
- Custom layout
- General statistics about the collection
- Billing information + alert if the subscription is about to end
- General setting
- ‘What’s new’ in the app
Thanks for your suggestions.
We feel the my.clz.com is the best place to have information about your account/subscriptions etc. And we do send emails when subscriptions are actually about to end, so make sure your email is up2date there!
That said:

Some stats would be cool indeed.

We’ll think about allowing a customizable layout
-
I’m not sure what a “general setting” is?
-
And we also feel some form of what’s new to be more in view would be good. Often we do small little tweaks based to make Connect better, and we do indeed sometimes forget to post it on our What’s New page. In any case: you can open Connect, then click on one of the collections, then click the menu top left, then click “Help” then click “What’s New” to go to that page!
The “General Settings” section includes account-related details, such as information about my subscriptions and product renewal dates.
Additionally, I would like to remove unused products from the landing page. Currently, I’m only using the Music and Movies collections, so there’s no need to display other products where I don’t have any collections.
I see. Right now you can access that by clicking your username top right, then click on “My Account”, which will take you to my.clz.com
We will think about introducing a “hide” button so you can manually hide other flavours of CLZ Web (and show them again once you may try them out - or have some other way of showing them if you ever decide to want to try them).
Yeah, that would be great. It would also be great if we could reorder the collections and decide what to show in each one (right now, I believe we’re showing the latest addition to each collection).
I know it’s a lot to ask from a relatively small team I just wanted to pop some ideas thanks for listening
No worries, sometimes big fresh new ask are so good that we drop stuff and quickly start building something else if we feel that way (that is the advantage of a smaller team
Is this also abut the hub page?
And lastly: Forgive me but we always like to do a bit of investigation before we write down ideas: Are you often on the hub page? What would you rather see there in terms of items than the “last added ones”?
No worries, sometimes big fresh new ask are so good that we drop stuff and quickly start building something else if we feel that way (that is the advantage of a smaller team
yes small - lean and mean team
Is this also abut the hub page?
Yes, the hub page is where you always land after logging in, and I’d love to make it more useful so I don’t need to drill down into specific collections to get things done. Here are a few improvements I’d like to suggest:
- Remove unused products: For example, I only use Music and Movies, so I’d prefer to remove any other products from view.
- Display collection stats: It would be helpful to see statistics for my different collections directly on the hub page.
- Add items from the hub: The ability to add items directly from the hub page would streamline the process.
- View license data: Having license information available would be useful.
On reflection, I’m not sure the page needs to be organized by product. A more flexible approach might be to use customizable widgets that let users filter and see the information they want. For example:
- A “Recently Added Items” widget (across all collections)
- A “Wishlist” widget
- A “General Statistics” widget
I hope this makes sense! I realize it’s a lot of work, but I believe it could significantly improve the user experience.
Removing unused products is something I can definitely agree with. Some stats would be cool to.
Not sure if an Add button is something we’d like to have on a hub page - and for license data, that is really for the CLZ Account page that I pointed to you earlier (I also do not really see the need to have that on a hub page).
We barely ever get any suggestions/questions about the hub page, a lot of users might just have one type of collection, and maybe they just browse directly to the “movie” sub page
Which is also of course where you can quickly set it up to see the wish list items or recently added sorting!
That said I have taken note of your suggestions!
Thanks a lot for taking the time to go over my feedback. I guess I had a more elevated view of what the hub page should look like and if many users just click through it directly to their collections, it means we don’t really need that page, and we can save these folks an extra click
Hmmm saving an extra click… maybe when you only have one of the products indeed. If you have 2, the hubpage is the way to go, or just go directly to
https://connect.collectorz.com/comics
(for instance)
yes that make sense… for now, the hub is only relevant if you have multiple products
