Date completed Feature

Hi, it would be good if on the date completed, like on the movie app, multiple dates could be added.

Thanks, Paul.

Hi Paul, thanks for your suggestion. We did consider this when we built the feature on movie/book/music but figured it might be a bit too much for game. I will take your request though and write it down here, perhaps we have more users who want this. Thank you.

I would love to have this feature too. Also, it would be nice to record some additional data completion data. Trophy/Achievement info would be fantastic. For each completion date maybe have some additional info like difficulty completed or time spent, some games have internal % completion as well.

Hi DuncanR2N,

We did think about introducing trophy/achievement information, but if we do, users will expect that this data gets delivered automatically too. And getting that data on our side is a bit of work - first of: Sony does not have an official API to get that data - or even user data.

There are APIs out there that can actually get this data, and even get your personal information, but those are reversed engineered, and could be problematic if we use something like that, or build something like that.

So, we visited this topic a couple of times over the years, but it’s unlikely to happen.

You can of course create your own Custom Field in the app and start entering that data yourself, - but that is a lot of work I agree.

Perhaps create a pick list field, with options like “Bronze trophies”, “Gold trophies”, “Platinum trophies” which you can then checkbox per game (while not mentioning the actual trophies). Just thinking out loud.

Yes, I can see that might be a pain to get that API functionality. It likely wouldn’t work with me anyway as I keep my games in a very particular way and it likely wouldn’t match how PSN or XBox stores it. I can add custom fields to capture some of this but to do it they way I’d like, it would need to be some sort of sub-table to capture everything for each playthrough (date, difficulty, and completion %).
