Deleted covers not syncing from Web to mobile on Apple device

Morning.

I’ve been deleting covers from individual items included in a box set, leaving just the cover on the Box set itself, to reduce the size of my CLZ Books file on my iPad (it’s getting on a bit and space is at a premium!)

However, I notice that if I delete the cover on the web version or the Android version, when I sync with the iPad version, it’s not clearing the cover there.

If I delete the covers on the iPad, it does sync back to the web and Android version correctly.

To summarise the scenarios:

  • Delete cover on Web → syncs to Android correctly, does not sync to iOS.
  • Delete cover on Android → syncs to Web correctly, does not sync to iOS
  • Delete cover on iOs → syncs to Web and Android correctly

Note: it does sync changes correctly, it’s just deleting the cover that doesn’t work.

I’m on version 10.7.3 on iOS, which looks like the most recent version?

This is indeed a known bug (removal of covers are not downsynced to ios devices). My apologies for this inconvenience.

What would work is if you’re done removing covers on Android or Web, just clear your database on iOS and redownload your entire database again.

Here’s how you would do that

  1. Tap the top left side menu icon to open the side menu.
  2. Tap “Maintenance” and then tap “Clear Database”.
  3. Tap the top left side menu icon again to open the side menu.
  4. Tap “Sync with CLZ Cloud” and sync your entire collection from CLZ Cloud down to your mobile device.
