Deleting discs

Hi,

In Movie Collector, I accidentally added a disc (actually 2!) (under Episodes & Features) for one film but now can’t find any way to delete them. The film has only 1 disc but now my Movie Collector says it has 3.

In CLZ Movies, though, I can easily (supposedly) change the number of discs (under Edition), but after syncing this changed number of discs to the cloud and then syncing in Movie Collector, Movie Collector still says it has 3 discs. It seems that the setting for number of discs in CLZ Movies has no effect at all on essentially the same setting in Movie Collector.

In fact, if I make changes in Movie Collector (not related to discs, episodes, or features), sync it to the cloud, and then sync again in CLZ Movies, the film in the mobile app gets changed back to 3 discs, i.e. whatever Movie Collector is stuck at.

How can I easily & simply delete such extra discs in Movie Collector?

Some resolution…

Not sure how I missed it before, but I finally found the delete disc button on the far right of the Episodes & Features panel. That easily solved getting rid of the 2 extra discs I had mistakenly added.

But… I’m still wondering why the No. of discs setting in CLZ Movies doesn’t change what is set in Movie Collector as expected. That would be great if this can be explained.

Hi Ron,

Good to hear you found out how to remove a disc.

Indeed, removal from the mobile app to cloud will work, but downsyncing from cloud to windows will never remove discs. It’s a very old bug I believe - but it’s there.

So whenever you need to remove discs and you indeed use the old Windows software, make sure to just make your removals of discs on Windows. My apologies for this confusion.

Yeah, too bad the sync doesn’t work properly here from mobile to Windows, but at least it’s an easy fix in Windows if I mess up like this again.
