Here are 2 examples, I just started noticing this was happening. I can go back in and merge them, but it does seem to keep happening.
Hi LordSlamm, it could be that these are in fact doubles in Core still, they might even already be fixed.
Reporting them, or leave them until we fix them:
If you find these, best course would be to report them through our Core | Errors forum here, although we are able to see exactly which characters are doubled up (and we do work on that list, make fixes) but we can prioritize if you need us to fix a couple.
Merging/fixing them yourself might not be the best course of action:
If you merge them in your Manage Pick List screen, it does mean that any comic using that character in your database will be marked as “Custom Characters” - meaning that from that point on you will never receive updated character lists from us for those comics.
so that’s just it, I already cleaned up the dupes from my side. So I can merge these and keep going and then it when I go to add one on another title, it creates the second one.
If you’ve merged characters to the “old ID” and a new ID version gets downloaded, it doubles up as well.
Try this:
When adding a comic that causes a dupe on your side, and you go to this merge screen again, merge the character to the one you only have “1” count of. Then it likely shouldn’t happen again.
ok I will try that, thanks.
