I have about 200 album entries that list musicians with their instrument as, say, “Drums and percussion” (treated as a single instrument - don’t ask). Is there any way I can change all of these into two separate instruments “Drums” and “Percussion” in one go?
I’ve been thinking about how to do this, but no luck so far. Perhaps I am missing some option to achieve this? It can’t be done by changing the musician’s default instrument because that, for good reason, doesn’t affect the current data in albums (and there’s currently only room for one default instrument anyway).
It just feels so ‘off’ that such a repetitve action could not be performed automatically, which is obviously something computers are very good at. At the same time, I realize this would not be an easy thing to implement, but who knows?
