Attempting to export my CLZ collection to my CovrPrice account and after downloading the file (it downloads as an HTML file) and opening the file it displays the following message:
“This page contains the following errors:
error on line
at column 1: Start tag expected, '<” not found
Below is a rendering of the page up to the first error."
The rest of the page is blank.
CovrPrice instruction for importing the CLZ info is to email them the downloaded file but I’m not getting a successful file to send them.
It should download as a CSV file actually, but you really don’t have to open it.
Just download the file and send the file over to CovrPrice.
Can I ask why you want to export the data to CovrPrice?
The CovrPrice integration / collaboration is all about getting comic values from CovrPrice INSIDE your CLZ app or software.
Your data does not need to be in the CovrPrice system for the integration to work
Please note that this is a ONE-TIME transfer. If you want to keep both your CLZ database and CovrPrice up-to-date, you will have to add your new comics to both manually.
But again, your comics do not need to be in the CovrPrice system for CLZ integration to work.
Oh, I wasn’t aware that was the way it works. I thought it was necessary to export the data to help insure accurate value data. I didn’t realize it was a one or the other situation. Thanks, I’ll not export anything to CovrPrice then.
So what you want to do is just open the menu then tap Update Values and presto, boom, you have your values updated in your app!
The actual current values can be seen in the main list, in the little blue square. (see third screenshot below)
You can tap the menu top left, then Statistics , then scroll down a bit to see some value statistics.
Want to sort the entire database on highest value?
If you wish to sort by highest value first, go to “All Comics” at the top, then tap the AZ sorting button, then sort by VALUE, and then tap highest first.
You can go back to regular sorting via All Comics, then “AZ” sorting button, then “Series AZ, then Issue”
Just out of curiosity (and to make our app easier for other new users) - what triggered you to want to export to CovrPrice? Was there any messaging you ran into that made you think you had to do that?
