I’d like to suggest an improvement to the app. It would be great if we could assign comic books to multiple storage boxes instead of just one. It feels a bit restrictive to only be able to place a book in a single storage box.
I might be missing something so I hope you can explain a bit further: why would you need multiple storage boxes for one single comic?
How can a comic exist in multiple storage boxes?
Maybe instead of multiple entries of a single book, they updated the quantity which means you can only select one box. That’s the only thing I can think of.
Hm do you think this @Deimosvox is using “quantity” and therefor wants to add multiple storage boxes on one comic entry?
I would imagine there could be several scenarios for this need … the most realistic is when you buy a comic that you already have (either by design or by mistake) — been there, done that — so I increase the quantity and add a “temporary notation” in the Personal / Notes field (this on Comic Collector Desktop) as to where the additional copy is located in my “recent filing box” … because the copy of the original entry is in a storage box that is not readily accessible. Then I also add a note like “move-1” into a UDF field to make it easy for me to find those duplicate comics that need to be moved into a common box for that specific issue entry (and subsequently cleaning up my “temporary notes”.
Another case could be that he is using different storage boxes to build sets of comics for different purposes …

I have a comic that currently belongs in one section, but I’d like to also include it in a different section under a separate category without removing it from its original placement or having to add another copy that I don’t have in my collection.
That’s still so confusing, storage boxes aren’t categories.
I think you should just use tags for that.
Indeed, I would recommend using tags for your specific situation in that case. Storage boxes field is more for like actual boxes you have in your home where the physical copy of the comic is stored in!
