Feature Request - Set a target value and highlight

After entering a comic and adding to the collection, it would be great if it would flash if the covrprice value is higher than a filter you are able to set. That way, you don’t have to go back to the list of issues in the series and look through all the prices to see if you want to put it in a top loader, or move it to a reserved box.

For example, I set my price limit to be $50. Whenever I enter a comic that coverprice says has a higher value than $50, the app beeps or flashes and notifies me that the comic I entered is higher than my set value immediately.

My apologies but I have to ask some questions. I think I’m missing what you mean here.

If the value from CovrPrice is higher than a certain amount, it should flash?
The value depends on if it’s graded/raw and which grade you’ve set for it.

What is the “end goal” for this feature request you have? What is the “reserved box” for?

The end goal is to immediately see that a comic you have just added is valued higher than a value you set in a property somewhere.
Today, you have to go back to the list of comics (probably after you have entered/added several) to see the value. If you are entering multiple titles, you have to go back to the main series list, then open each you entered to see if the value is above your threshold.

Instead, once you ‘add’ the comic, and it links to the price, the app should beep or put some notification up that says the comic you added is higher value than you threshold.
If it is a property saved by an individual user, then some folks can set it to only beep above $1000 if they have lots of valuable ones, and other users can set it to $50 of they have less valuable comics

And what is the goal of finding that out exactly? What would you do with the comic when the device beeps because a value is higher than something you’ve set somewhere?

As for “going into your list” - you can just tap “All Comics” in your list, then tap the AZ sort button, then sort by “Added Date”

That will give you all your recently added comics right there, and you can also see the value in the list, no need to tap on the comic.

Well for one, I would immediately put it in a top loader instead of a regular bag. I might put it in a separate hardcase box that I keep safe for insurance. I might want to put it in a stack for slabbing.

The point still is, sure, I can go through all the recently added stuff, and on a little phone screen, in little text I could squint and see the dollar value probably find it. But by then I might have moved on to a different box or different section.

If the notification is immediate, then I can do something differently immediately, as I am entering it. Plenty of reasons why.

Thank you for explaining the reasoning, I will take note of your request here.

As for the workaround I said, was more because I got the fealing you might’ve missed the sorting option to sort by date added when need be (and for a possible workaround for the time being of course). I always try to provide workarounds if someone asks for something, that we might add in the future, so they can continue now. Even though it takes a bit longer then.
