I’m getting tired of seeing Aerosmith and Ryan Adams every day… Would be great to have a random record shown when opening the app… many an old treasure could be rediscovered like this 
Another way (probably easy to implement) would be to add a “sort: random” option. I could then simply configure this sort option and get what I want.
Right now I used sort by Index and Length and alternate between them to get some sort of randomisation 
Have you tried Settings | Behaviour | Shake to Shuffle, which selects a random album

I actually have trouble using this function, as I have to shake my phone very hard (iPhone 11 Pro) to trigger it — and I have a physical disability that makes this even harder 
But you are right, it would essentially provide the functionality I’m after. I also understand that configuring the shake intensity would result in annoying accidental triggers for other people.
