I am not finding anything to support that there are two UPC variants to some of the squarebound Marvel series from around 1990.
For example, there is currently only one version of “Punisher / Wolverine: African Saga” indexed.
I believe that is correct. If you look at the barcode (and back cover), that looks like a newsstand. But thank think is correct — I haven’t found a “direct” edition.
But I question if there are direct and newsstand editions of The Adventures of Captain America and Shadowmasters (there may be others around the same time frame).
Do we have evidence that there are two versions of these?
