[Fixed] Ultimate FF / X-Men Annual is NOT Ultimate X-Men / FF Annual #1B

Hi. Found a “fake” duplicate in core. Both UPC 75960606533 and 75960606531 are listed in core as variants of ‘Ultimate X-Men / Fantastic Four Annual’ but they are actually 2 unique books.

As shown, UPC Code ending 06531 should be ‘Ultimate Fantastic Four / X-Men Annual’ issue 1A and not considered issue 1B of ‘Ultimate X-Men / Fantastic Four Annual’. Similarly, all the credits data and synopsis from UX-M/FF is duplicated for UFF/X-M but should be its own unique set. Thanks.

Fixed, thank you for letting us know!

Hi. So this isn’t fixed? I removed both books from my collection and re-added via barcodes and they still come up 1A and 1B of the same title. Tried via lookup and see the same. Do core fixes take awhile to become public? Thanks!

It is fixed, they are split from each other now instead being variants. #1A and 1B aren’t variant letters in this case, they’re issue extensions. Each with different data . Having them spit into different series would make them harder to find.

Not trying to die on a hill here, but I am looking for guidance for future submissions. What I take from this is that the indica doesn’t matter to core in cases where it makes things “harder to find” … which makes sense when you’re talking about something like the X-Men/Uncanny X-Men run but does it still make sense when CovrPrice shows the 2 books as 2 separate series as it does in this case?

Bottom line: it’s your data and I can easily work with however you organize it. Thanks for all you do!

Hi, I initially left these together at first as I’ve seen more in core this way. After some consideration I’ve separated the two. Now you can find them as “Ultimate X-Men / Ultimate Fantastic Four Annual” & “Ultimate Fantastic Four / Ultimate X-Men Annual”

Thank you for letting us know!
