Why are the Whitman covers on these books the A variant and is there no Direct for them? At the verh least Newsstand should be A before Whitman.

Hi, we made the decision a while back to have the whitman on A as they were published as direct edition and were ultimately morphed into wat we now know as the direct edition (only sold in comic shops). It’s also done to have a better transition with having the Newsstand move from A to B to ultimately disappearing in 2017. Having the Newsstand on B does not devalue your book, it’s just a way of making the database more consistent and correct within their time periods. Hope this answers your question
