Either way the one with the black cover and no issue number should have a variant of TP-A added.

On the internet you will see people listing a 1st edition/printing of this from 2000, that is not true, no such book exists. The 1st HC edition was the 4th printing which came as a Ltd Ed signed by Bendis. The confusion comes from people not knowing how to read the indica page. All the Oni press editions having the same Indica page that which say ‘First edition July 2000’. That doesn’t mean all books that say this are first editions. You need to look at the edition number string the 1 3 5 7 9 10 8 6 4 2 to work out which edition/printing you have. I confirmed this with Bendis on Bluesky. I’m going into all this detail to avoid you getting misled by the bad info online.
