Good Old Music Collector

Most posts relate to problems but I’d like confirm my continuing delight with this software. Here’s my most recent activity:
Back in the day each album had (I think) a single entry for date i.e. ‘Released’. This I used for every LP or CD version of a given album to preserve a chronological presentation.
We now have ‘Release Date’, ‘Original Release Date’ & ‘Recording Date’ and when the update was implemented all my ‘Released’s went into ‘Release Date’.
Using the Transfer Field Data tool I copied all ‘Release Date’ data into ‘Original Release Date’
Now I am progressively updating ‘Release Date’ for re-issues to the date of reissue.
With a sort order of Artist - Original Release Date - Title - Release Date, the presentation is superb even showing the re-issues in order.
What is even more impressive is that if you add month to the ‘Original Release Date’, albums are presented in the correct sequence within a year.

The above may be old hat but I think it’s great!

With no updates likely I am now in ‘Pay Once Use Forever’ mode and don’t use Cloud or Core, for the latter preferring to enter my own data.

Only question: back in the day you could run MC on two devices with a single license. Having recently bought a second (a laptop) can I still do this?

Yeah that should still work. To keep your data in sync you’d have to use Sync with CLZ Cloud in the software though, which you mention you don’t use.

Sharing the .muc database file and images path via a local network I wouldn’t recommend, seen way too many network/access/lost image paths problems with that.

This is all possible in CLZ Web too, just wanted to make sure you know that
