I just started to use the app and really enjoy it.
What I’m trying to accomplish is collect only A covers.
Now I do have some variants and some of facsimiles, how can I keep those in my collection but it doesn’t take away the missing cover A for that issue.
Example let’s say I need Cover A #22. So it tell me I’m missing #22 which is perfect but if I add a variant #22 it now thinks that I don’t need a #22.
I only want it to display missing issues for Cover A.
I was thinking to maybe put Variants and Facsimiles into a different folder and that would solve it, but I like to have my collection all together too.
My question is really about displaying only cover A covers.
I want to compete a full run with just cover A and want to know which I’m missing. Now if I don’t add any variants or facsimiles to the collection then only cover A would appear and then I would have a propelr list of just A. Doing this makes it easy for me to see which issues we are missing.
But if I add variants or facsimiles it causes my list of missing to not be accurate.
Example if I need issue 32. Since I only collect cover A’s, if I was to add to my collection a #32 variant or Facsimile it would then make the program think I don’t need the 32 any more. This is true since I added a 32 variant or Facsimile but it’s not accurate to my run collection of Cover A’s , since I don’t actually own a 32 cover A.
I simply want to have my entire collection together all covers and facsimiles but when it comes to missing I want it to only look for cover A and tell me which are missing still from my run.
If you have a series run 1-50, and you have 36B, but not A, the missing comics screen will indeed show that you’re not missing 36A if you have “hide variants” switched on in the settings of the missing comics screen.
If you put it to “show variants”, it will show all variants.
In the example below I’ve added all A variants of the series “52” except for 50, for which I own the B variant.
With “show variants” switched on, this will show in Missing Comics:
