How to use loan function in music

Hi. I am new. Is there a function to mark a CD on loan to someone? Please advise. Thanks.

Marking an album as loaned is not possible in the CLZ Music Mobile app.

It is possible in our CLZ Music Web app
Online music database software » CLZ Music Web (free 7-day trial available)

And if you mark albums as loaned, that information will sync to your CLZ Music Mobile app (and you can foldergroup on the “Loaner” field to see who has an album on loan from you).

Let me know if you have further questions!

Thanks. Other than marking on loan does the web service do anything that the mobile app doesn’t? Does it enhance the mobile app?

At CLZ.com we offer 2 cataloging solutions. The main difference between them is the platform.

  • For use on your phone and tablet, there is our CLZ mobile app, available for iOS and Android.
The CLZ mobile app has a built-in barcode scanner for adding items, a nice native app-like user interface and stores data locally, on your device, so you can also view and edit your data while offline.

  • For use on your computer, there is the CLZ Web web-based software
CLZ Web is web-based, basically a website that you log into with your web-browser, with your data and images stored in our CLZ Cloud system. It is super easy to use and easy to manage. We handle everything for you, like software updates, daily backups, etc…
And since CLZ Web is just a website that you login to, you never have problems with firewalls, security software, etc…

The above two are all you need, CLZ on your mobile device(s), CLZ Web on your computer(s).

The Web version just works differently, bigger screen, so that might be cool? But all data just syncs between the two, so you could try them both and see if you like to have the flexibility to work on your database from your phone, while on the road, and also on the computer

Ok. Thank you for the answer.

You’re welcome, please do let me know if you have any further questions while trying stuff out, happy to help out!
