Hello. This is my first time posting. I have just switched over from Book Collector desktop and so far am having some frustrations. The main reason I switched was the announcement of new reading tracking abilities. I am often reading more than one book at a time, so this was attractive to me. But I wanted to add “Reading Status” as a column in the Main Screen list view, but it is not available to check. I did find it available to add to My Favorites in folders, but not Columns. I don’t understand why if it can be a folder, it can’t be a column. Is this something that is possible, and if so, will it be added as an option later?
Secondly, I very much miss the ability to navigate quickly through the main list by “Incremental typing”. This was my mainstay before. I find always having to use the search bar much more cumbersome. Any info on that is also appreciated.
We had that in a first test version but it became very confusing, very fast as a book can have infinite amount of Reading Status (each read event could have its own “reader” and multiple different reading statuses - I can understand that for you you might just have one, and that’s why it would feel logical to be able to set it as a column) . We’ll try to see if we can add a column for “Last Reading Status”.
The Reading Status folder option is a lot better for this though, you could just make it a favorite and quickly switch to it whenever you want to. If a book has multiple reading statuses, it would just appear in multiple folders.
I don’t think this is in the cards for the Web version.. sorry.
