I currently pay for a subscription to movie collectorz mainly to be able to use the imdb as a resource when the core database can’t find something, which depending on what happens quite a lot.
The only real problem is most other programs to my understanding use thetvdb.com for ordering etc, this is the main source for anyone using a plex server app. It also tends to have stuff imdb does not or it an order the other apps use.
I would assume since the downloaded versions are no longer being updated, an update like this would have to be for the app or web version
