Similar to the Windows application, is it possible to import albums from folders on a hard drive using the web interface?

Not currently possible. There has been talk of being able to export the metadata from the files using something like MP3Tag to a CSV file, for example, and then import that file into the web version, but that’s not currently implemented, and as far as I know, no timeline of when it will be.
