Import spreadsheet and get value

Hi all.

I am a newbie.
I have a spreadsheet of my comic inventory.
Is it possible to import the spreadsheet into the web app and get a total value for it?
I want to value and sell all of my inventory.

What subscriptions do I need to purchase to do this?

Thanks so much,

Bruce

To use CLZ Comics Web you need a subscription to that. You can start here: https://app.clz.com/comics

To get values, you need a Premium subscription to our partners over at CovrPrice.
You also need to have linked your comics to comics in our Core online database, otherwise we don’t know which comic you actually have.

Spreadsheet:
You can import an existing list of items using the CLZ Cloud! Here’s how you do that:

  1. Go to https://app.clz.com/ and log in.
  2. Click the menu top left and select IMPORT/EXPORT > Import Data.
  3. Follow the instructions on screen to import your existing list of items.
  4. After importing, you need to use the LINK screen (also in the menu) to link your series and issues to “our” series and issues. This can be a lot of work (if you have like 2000 comics or less, you could also consider just starting over and cataloging them directly one by one in our app)

My advise:
I would suggest with just going for the 7-day trial on CLZ Comics Web, and import your collection, and try linking them.
If you’re happy, you can get the subscription to CLZ Comics Web.

I would then get the CovrPrice Premium subscription later (after you’ve got the import/linking done).

Thanks for the help.

I got a little further…but my spreadsheet has a multivalued field for the issue number. The CLZ importer only creates one comic for the row.

Is there a way to tell the CLZ importer to create a new comic for each issue listed in the “ISSUE” field?

Here is an example of my data:
“ID”,“TITLE”,“ISSUE”
“02084”,“Scooby-Doo”,“4”
“02110”,“Inhumans”,“9”
“02112”,“Champions”,“3 4”
“02113”,“Marvel Presents”,“3 6”
“02120”,“Marvel Spotlight on The Spider-Woman”,“16 32”

Or do I have to create a separate row in the spreadsheet for each issue?

The only way to get the import to recognize an individual issue is to make it have its own row.

(what do you use the ID for?)

Where is that spreadsheet coming from?

I manually created the spreadsheet.
I used the Power Query Editor in Excel to split the multivalued field into individual rows.
I’m good now. Thanks for the help.

But if you manually created the spreadsheet, why those IDs instead of the Series names?

As long as you use those IDs in the Series field, linking them to our Core will be a nightmare.
