I have a Seagate Central that I have well over 8000 MP3’s, FLAC’s and other musical/audio files stored in.
I would like to import that into Music Collector Desktop.
Seagate is a central storage device attached to my system via WiFi. It stores audio, video and photo images that can be accessed by any device on my home network (including Roku, images only).
The Seagate automatically lists the titles by artists, albums, etc, no matter how I had uploaded the songs.
So, is there a way to access that listing in Seagate to import into Music Col?
If not… this winter I’ll have more on my list of things to do. LOL
Thank you!
According to the manual
Music Collector enables you to catalog both your physical and digital music collection. You can scan your hard drive for digital music then add it automatically to your Music Collector database.
The instructions can be found here.
It’s one of the more useful tools for those of us who download music
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
I found it in the menu under EDIT; ADD/LINK MUSIC FILES.
Accessed my Seagate… 9152 individual songs! Hundreds more than I thought.
It worked great!
Thanks again, it saved me DAYS of work… even found duplicates and artists I had forgotten about.
Years ago I used to do some MAJOR downloading, not anymore.
