Hello,
I updated the values on my collection. Unfortunately many of the retrieved values are crazy and totally wrong! I mean, $778 for a Stephen King book still on sale for $18? Surely there’s something strange going on here.
Is there an easy way to reset all of those values to zero? I don’t want to manually go through each one of the 250 updated books.
Thanks!
Hi @bruno
we’re seeing those strange values as well in your account for your books. Those aren’t right and we’re going to fix those.
You currently can’t remove the values (you can overwrite them using the My Value field though).
We’ll think about making an option to hide them.
I will be back in touch when I have more information on those books!
We have isolated the issue and are slowly fixing these as we go. We have also cleared a lot of bad weird values.
I recommend using Update Values from the menu to get some moved to “0” and some “fixed” - we will come around to fixing these - but it might take some time ![]()
Thanks for reporting this again! And keep using Update Values to get the newest values
Great, thank you so much! ![]()
Yikes. A year on and I just hit this massively as I wanted to switch from USD to GBP (I should have done this forever ago!) so I changed the value, hit save and it asked if I wanted to update all values. I didn’t realise this would add all the money values just add the right symbol. I have several books showing in hundreds of pounds that you can buy for less than 20 new. Is there a way to report which books are affected? Otherwise I need to rethink my insurance! ![]()
@Scifibooknut I’m not sure how this is related to the problem from April 2025, other than you may have gotten some higher values.
If you want to, we can grab a copy of your database from Saturday or Friday and just replace your entire database with that. That way you’d travel back in time from before you changed your currency. Would you want that?
You can report bad values here, we can investigate them, if you need that: Core | Errors - Club CLZ
You can also edit any book with a value you don’t like and type your own, that works as well!
Hi, yes… it’s the values that are the main issue. I have more than 50 with ludicrously high prices (one I think was over £700!). A database switch would be awesome thank you. I only have two books I added over the weekend so it would be five minutes to add those rather than check every book value. Although a question. Can I update from USD to GBP without updating the values?
Alright, we’ve just restored a copy of your database from last weekend.
Indeed, it’s 2 books less than it was today!
Can I update from USD to GBP without updating the values?
When you change the currency, the app will ask you if you want to update values. If you don’t want this, just hit no, and then only the currency symbol changes. Meaning that you’d go from a value of 20 USD, to 20 GBP.
I believe it’s set to GBP now by the way. Hope this has fixed your issue?
Brilliant! Thank you!
