I am adding multiple collections into the database and just scan them or enter them as I grab a box. Is there a way to consolidate this into 1 quantity?
You can’t “merge” issues into 1 item and up the quantity automatically.
So for this I recommend just removing the doubles, and then edit the one you have left, and change the quantity field to like “11”.
That is probably the way forward here.
However, consider this:
There are two ways to indicate if you have multiple copies of the same comic:
-
Add the comic to your database once, then use the Quantity field to indicate how many you have.
-
Add each copy as a separate entry in your database. The advantage of this is that you can set different properties for each copy, like Grade, Value, Purchase Date/Price/Store, Storage Box, etc…
Is there any possibility this can be an update in the future? This would save, at least me, tens if not hundreds of hours. I tried to clean it up making an excel file but I’d still have to reimport each title manually.
Have you considered keeping your separate comics as loose entries? That would be my preferred way, to actually see the exact amount of comics in my list that I also have in my storage boxes…
