Hi there, I’ve noticed that when I go to the “Transfer field data” screen and click on “Select source field” that the field I want to transfer data from is not listed, namely Box set. Is this truly the case, or am I missing something? Thanks!
I just checked mine and it’s the fourth one down in the source field list.
Yooper1975 that’s interesting. Maybe I need to adjust my settings in some way. Definitely not appearing for me.
The box set field was not added for “source field” in CLZ Music as it contains “subdata” (which albums are in the box set and details about the box set which can never be transfered to another field etc.). (also a problem on the old legacy Windows version that Yooper1975 screenshotted by the way).
Can I ask why you’re trying to transfer the box set field, and to where,
and what you expect to happen? (as it will not transfer all those subfields of box set if we were to build it for the Web version)
CLZ_AJ I’m thinking ahead, to when the “Custom Fields” functionality becomes available on CLZ Music Web. I will be wanting to add a custom field for “Series”, and I’d like to be able to transfer data from the “Box set” field to the custom “Series” field for many albums. The reason for this: for some years now, I’ve been putting the series data in the “Box set” field, along with actual box sets. Admittedly, not the purpose for which the “Box set” field was intended. My bad 
But, as “Series” are data that I wanted to record, and as CLZ has never included a “Series” field in its music cataloguing products, using the Box set field seemed like the best workaround at the time.
I think we could make it so that it would allow copying data from the box set field (title only , not the rest that might be inside) to a Custom Field that you can create yourself.
Can I ask what you would put in the Series field (that you now have in the Box Set field)?
Please note that the box set field: data inside that is the same for another album: it will show at the top of your details panel of an album (main screen with all the album details of the selected album) for quick through clicking to other albums that have the same box set info - that is not something the Custom Field feature could do via the details panel.
I would put the title of a series. For example, in the screenshot there are 28 albums that are part of the series “The romantic piano concerto”. I would remove this series title from the Box set field to the series field. I must admit, though, that I would miss the series being clearly displayed above the individual album on the main screen. Maybe I’m having second thoughts

Maybe.. also, you’d not be able to click through to those albums there if you move that to a different, normal, field!
