I read mostly books in a series. it would be super helpful to see a #1, 2 3… on the cover image or on the title box to see what books are next to read. some authors work on several series at a time and can’t go strictly by publication date. also, it would help me identify when I’m missing a book.
CLZ Books does have an issue field that you can fill in.
You can also tap on the folder icon, then group by “Series”.
Would that help a little bit?
On the books in series in my collections, I put them in a box set, and in the subtitle field I put Book 1, 2, or whatever. It’s easy to see all books in a series and which book is what.
Sneaky person. Good plan. I may need to adjust a bit.
If you use box sets put the number in the Volume field. It will list in the Details showing you all the books in the Box Set in order.
But when this issue field is used it displays it on the book’s main screen as, for example, “Series Name: issue #1”. The word “issue” here feels more like comics terminology. Can it be removed from display so just the “#1” shows after the series name? Likewise, on the edit screen instead of that field being called “Issue” call it “Number”.
Example:
Currently: “Jack Ryan: issue #1”
New: “Jack Ryan: #1” or “Jack Ryan #1”
I’m afraid you can’t remove that but I’ll take note of your request. I believe we’ve had this word there since like forever though.
