I’ve installed my Music Collector desktop version on my laptop years ago. My files are synchronized in OneDrive. But recently this doesn’t work anymore and my .muc-file is corrupt. I want to start working completely offline. I saw that my CLZ music web-version is still intact and complete. What procedure can I follow best to restore my .muc-file for working completely offline without OneDrive.
Hi George,
Does the program say the MUC file has been corrupted? An error? Or do you just see the wrong amount of albums?
If you want to redownload to your Music Collector program from Cloud, that is done like this:
- First open Music Collector, click File > New Database, and save it outside your OneDrive folder
- Now go to Tools > Options > Folders and make sure you create nice Music Collector folders outside of OneDrive for your data.
- Then use menu CLZ Cloud > Sync with CLZ Cloud, and you can download your data from cloud.
(if you need to have the program’s data files to also be offline, you should probably just look into OneDrive just not syncing/using internet anymore - and check with Microsoft Support)
Last resort:
Alternatively do a system wide search for *.muc files and see if you can see any .muc files that you might be able to try and open.
