Once I’m in merge mode and I complete a merge I can’t exit merge mode and continue browsing the pick list. I have to exit the pick list edit screen, then go back in if I want to continue merging from the list. Am I missing something? That’s very inefficient.
You’ve posted in Music Collector forum - but “merge mode” is both a CLZ Music MOBILE and WEB thing.
Where are you seeing this?
Mobile?
Web?
Or desktop?
I’ve tested merge mode in CLZ Music WEB, and went into the Genre list, then entered merge mode, then checkboxed a couple genres, merged them to one genre, then entered merge mode again to merge another genre, working exactly as expected for me.
What am I missing here?
See video:
I open the “manage pick list” from the menu top left, then go to Genre, then Merge Mode, and it worked fine.
Sorry for the wrong posting. If you go into merge mode, search for a key word, then merge the results, you end up still in merge mode. I just discovered following your reply that you can exit merge mode by deleting the key word in the search box. I would think that once you finished the merge the key word would be deleted automatically. Anyway, if that is functioning as designed, that’s fine and I will remember the very minor work around. Thanks.
I think that is functioning as designed yeah - I’m not sure we’ve given it particular thought as to what it should do specifically after a merge (clear the search or keep it there).
Clicking it away is easier than typing it again. But yeah.
Will think about it.
Are you merging often, and a lot?
Well, with things like record labels, there are a lot of duplicates so I periodically try to clean that up. So I don’t merge a lot, but when I do it can be a lot. Does that make sense?
Yes, that makes perfect sense. I’ve still taken note about your findings. Perhaps it might be better to clear the search after 1 merge. It kinda makes sense
