That does make sense. I’ll use a tag for now. But that leads to a question… If I use a tag for now and I want to populate that data into your custom field later, how could I do that? This sort of links to the conversation about using Notes fields as a source (here: Using bulk edit to edit Notes). If I put the data in a tag, then how would I bulk transfer to a non-Tag field later without using some kind of transformation? If I put the data in a custom field now, what if I choose a different format (e.g. I put in “Mile High Comics” and you have a multi-select like the “Signed By” that says “Mile High” - not a great example but you get what I mean I’m sure) and how would that transfer work then?
Basically, I want to make a good choice to record he data now that gives me good options for what you do later. If I could programmatically manipulate the data during transfers that would make this moot. But in a world where I’m using your bulk transfer tool I want to be careful.
