I just finished an extensif contribution to Core data for the Back Covers of my Animated Movies. During that process I encountered for certain films an anomaly: the field “Back Covers” was simply not present in the Web page which permits to submit changes. Here are 2 barcodes for which the problem occurs: Porco Ross - 889853738995 and Prinzessin Mononoke - 889853783996. I have the scan of the Back Covers in my local Data, but the field was not even displayed (here a screenshot).
Back covers can only be submitted to medias
In Core we have a movie ID and a media ID
So the movie ID is the “main movie entry” in Core.
Under it, we have all the 10s or 100s of barcodes a movie might be released in, which contains specific edition data. Those have a media ID.
When I check your Porco Ross entry, it is not linked to a media ID, so you can’t submit media information to it.
I’ve switched your CLZ Movies Web to “list view” and added the two ID fields as columns.
You can click unlink, and then link it again and see if you can link it to the exact media we have (if we have it) and then you should be able to add a back cover.
But I would advise you to just use Web for yourself for a little while, and just not bother too much with submitting for now if it is too hard. The most important thing is that for you, your own database, looks and feels the way you want it to. Your collection is the most important!
Thank you again for this quick reaction. Glad to here that it is due to a Data problem on my side which I now can pay attention to.
I’ve noticed this in the past too. Thanks for the explanation!
