Missing the modern epic released last week
@CLZ_Justin any eta?
Hi there! We are working hard on getting missing catalogs with HC, TPB and Manga imported into our core. Adding these is course parallel to or other core related tasks. We won’t be adding your missing book(s) right at this moment. They will eventually get added of course. At this time there is not an estimation as to when all of the missings are added to core (The last few missing catalogs were processed within week).
We ask you to refrain from posting any HC & TPB’s here for now that are distributed to your comic shop or online retailer. Adding them from our forum takes more time compared to importing. I can imagine this frustrating for you, we hope you can understand that the situation which caused this to happen.
This is quoted from our newsletter:
It’s no surprise that the fall of the biggest comic distributor had a massive impact on the comic book industry as a whole. The ripple effect it created even had an impact on us, as the Diamond Previews were an important source of new release data. We patched the wound of missing comics almost immediately when publishers started to switch to different distributors. Our partnership with CovrPrice was a big help with this too. However, although not noticeable at first, it created a hole with missing manga, trade paperbacks and hardcovers for upcoming releases.
A few months ago, we asked CLZ web-developer Joe to create new tools to deal with the various new data sources we now have access to. And that has now been done! The journey to that goal definitely came with its own set of problems but he has made it work somehow (Joe truly is a coding wizard). He even worked on perfecting the way our data managers can edit and adjust new releases based on their FOC dates.
Our content managers Rowdy, Justin and Taco are now using the new tools to get new comic data in Core quicker and even before FOC dates strike. This will have the most effect on upcoming TPB’s, HC’s and Manga, but regular comics will also appear in our CLZ Core earlier!
Again sorry for the inconvenience!
Thanks this all sounds great. And just to clarify this issue is released not future. But I’ll wait for that big bang update I guess. Hopefully soon
You could help us by providing the months catalog it was listed in. That way I could add it for you in a quicker manner.
We are fully aware of that. All mentioned in what was said in my reply. Big bang update? We’re going back each week with a previous catalog to add the missing books. I’m just replying with an explanation to not have you waiting on a reply from us.

I guess I misunderstood the explanation.
- There was a change
- The change had some gaps
- You are fixing the gaps but no eta
So the big bang was me assuming you are fixing the gaps and all the missing stuff would appear.
If you are just fixing it catalog by catalog do you want to be informed when there are gaps?
I want to be flexible and you guys are all awesome. I completely think wishlist future stuff is a nice to have so I have unlimited patience with that.
Released stuff I am more antsy about because I’ll forget to add it back to my database if I own it and I can’t add it to the database.
No worries, just making sure we’re on the same page ![]()
Yes, perfect! I’ll add it on Tuesday for you. Sorry for having to tell you to refrain from posting, I only just came to this solution after I posted my reply.
“If you are just fixing it catalog by catalog do you want to be informed when there are gaps?”
No, we are aware of what the gaps are and what’s missing. All of what’s missing has already been released. Release dates for these books a very different compared to normal comics, they’re more shuffled trough out the weeks/year. Starting from February catalog to now on, everything will be in Core. It’s just hard to pin point which previous catalog we need to import to help a lot of people.
This was added as #5 in “Daredevil Epic Collection: Modern Era TP”. Thank you for posting!
