Plot
Avrack-The Lord of the Falcons - Jorge Pinedo’s nights always end the same way. He has already visited almost every bar in the Caribbean, and from all of them he has been kicked out when his drunkenness becomes unbearable for the rest of humanity. But on this particular night, Jorge can no longer live with the memory of Graciela and decides to end his life. To do so, he approaches the cliff overlooking the sea. He lets himself fall, knowing that one way or another he will die.
What he does not know is that he is being watched. Someone has other plans for him: he is extracted from reality, implanted with the knowledge of a strange language, and given a treatment to alter his musculature. Jorge awakens on the back of a giant falcon, riding it as if it were a horse. He believes he is in a nightmare, but soon the inhabitants of this new fantasy world recognize him as their greatest hero. They all believe that Avrack has returned.
The inhabitants of this world soon realize that although he looks like him, the hero is not truly the same. Surely he is an impostor. But the need to have the greatest warrior to raise morale is overwhelming. At the same time, Jorge feels the need to prove his courage and finds ways to emerge successfully from every situation. From being a coward, he goes on to reject thrones and beautiful queens who burn with desire to have him at their side. What he truly needs are answers: who is Avrack? How—and why—is he in this world?
This fascinating adventure is written by the writer of New World, Ricardo Barreiro with art by Enrique Breccia.
