Moved Movie Collector to a new computer and Menu Icons missing

Hello,

Earlier in the year I got a new computer and was able to successfully move Movie Collector and all movies and images without any issues.

The issue that I am having is, for some reason the menu icon setup did not transfer. I don’t know if it is suppose to, but I don’t recall adding or deleting Icons on my old computer, so I am guessing it was the default listing of the Icons.

Currently, it only shows three Icons where on my old computer there were at least probably 8-10 or more.

I added the red arrow to show what I mean by Icons.

The only other Icons that I can recall show are to Filter and Create a Filer, which I used a lot, so at the very least I would like to be able to get them back.

I know that Movie Collector is no longer being updated, but is it possible that the default listing of Icons has changed to just those three?

Usually I am pretty good at remembering how to do some thing once I have done it. It may take a couple of missteps, but I usually have no problems. In this case, I am drawing a complete blank which is why I don’t believed I ever added additional Icons, if that is even possible.

It looks like your Movie Collector might have reverted to a default setting. My suggestion is to try right-clicking on the toolbar and selecting Customize. Then in the Commands tab, select which short cut icons you want.

Yes, many years ago we cleaned out the toolbar by a lot. What you are seeing is the default set.

How to add more buttons to the toolbar:

  1. View > Toolbars > Customize
  2. CLICK the “Commands” tab.
  3. Under Categories: select the category you need.
  4. On the right hand side find the buttons you wish to add!
  5. DRAG the ones you want to your toolbar on the main screen.

Note:
You can only drag the icons next to (or between) other icons in the toolbar.
