As the US and Australian film classification logos have been updated for US and Australian Blu-ray and DVD listings in the CLZ app, would it be possible to update the classification logos for UK disk releases too?
When I check my system here in Core, in our movie database, we already have all those icons from that image in our system. But, those will not replace anything you may already have on your side.
Feel free to just go into Edit > Manage Pick Lists, then go to your Audience Ratings, and you can edit the ones there, and modify their image.
You can use this ZIP file for the images:
The ones that are called (1) are the smaller ones. Just try one first and see if it works out, then do the rest.
Thank you for your quick response as well as the UK classification logos. I’ve gone into the pick lists as you advised but I’m not having success in adding the logos. Could I please ask how to do this?
Thank you so much.
Sure:
In that Manage Pick List screen,
Right click any of the Audience Rating items there, and hit EDIT.
Then click the IMAGE tab
Then add the 2 images, you need to add images to both fields there.
Hi,
I’m still having no success. I have followed your instructions by right clicking on, for example, the “G” classification - see Image 1. Then clicking on the edit (pencil logo) and get the field in Image 2.
What am I missing or doing wrong? I’m using an iMac running OS Ventura 13.7.1. I’ve also tried on my Macbook Air running OS Sequoia 15.1.1 but same result.
Your help is very much appreciated.
You posted this in the Movie Collector forum. That is for Windows, so I replied with instructions for our Windows software.
But now I see screenshots from CLZ Movies WEB that you posted…
This is completely different.
CLZ Movies Web: you can not add new Audience Rating images yourself, but, the UK ones are already included there.
I’ve just clicked the FOLDER button top left on your account, then clicked Main > Audience Rating, and your UK ones are under GB - 15 etc.
And already have the new icon:
So if you give it the audience rating called “GB - 15” you will get that nice shiny new icon. No need to upload your own images.
I will now move this post to the correct forum part.
Just a thought - if it’s an older DVD/Blu-ray, wouldn’t we want the older style logos to appear to match the cover(s)? Not a big deal though!
Many thanks for all your help and advice. I’ve got it all working nicely now.
Thank you for the comment. I’ve let them all update with the new style classification logos.
