I just noticed that somewhere along the line, about a third of my collection (probably about 1,000 movies) got marked as “watched” (with no dates). Unfortunately, I haven’t watched them yet and I didn’t mark them as “watched”. I don’t know how or when they got marked that way.
Is there a way I can bulk edit those movies and remove the “watched” entry? When I try to select multiple movies in a list view and edit the “Watch History”, it doesn’t give me any way to remove the existing entries. All I can really do is add a new entry. Is there maybe some other method I could use?
As for them being marked as watched:
You may want to check your Pre-fill Settings from the menu top left, to see if you maybe have Watch History as a pre-fill field - and if you do: get rid of it using the cogwheel icon and remove the field…
Arg! I can’t believe I missed that drop down! Maybe it just needs to be styled a little differently to stand out more? Like maybe more like the Collection Status drop down or something? Thank you for pointing that out. That’s exactly what I needed!
I checked my Pre-fill Settings, but it was set to Not Watched there. So, I’m not sure how they got set that way. If the pre-fill settings ever defaulted to Watched (or accidentally got changed to Watched) and then I updated them later, that would explain it though. I dunno. Anyways, I thought I’d report it in case it turns out to be a bug that affects others as well. Most likely it isn’t, but better to raise awareness, right?
If you can test add a couple of movies, and see if they get added correctly, that would help!

Hehe, I agree it is small, but in support everytime someone misses a button or a menu option, the reply often is “well it should be more clear then because I did not see it”
Still on this one, I kinda agree yeah it could be more visible. Noted.
Actually, the way I discovered this issue is that I’ve been adding a bunch of movies and was individually marking them as watched, and then decided to see how many were watched vs not watched. And that’s when I noticed all the incorrectly marked ones. So, the pre-fill settings have been working correctly. Although, I did go ahead and add a few more as you requested, just to make sure, and it’s still working correctly.
I just have to go through those thousand files and update them now.
