I have a hardware collection. But I also have a ‘Sold’ collection which is where I move everything that I’ve sold or traded. When I’ve sold hardware in the past I’ve used the Windows software and it allows me to have hardware in ‘sold’ (or indeed in my main ‘games’ collection). On the mobile app it will only allow me to, I assume, move to another hardware collection.
I understand that ‘games’ collections are for games but I suppose I thought that because hardware initially lived in that generic collection type, you could continue to use it for games/hardware if you wanted to.
The use case is that I don’t really want to have two separate ‘sold’ collections for games and hardware. If the mobile app is intended behaviour then I’ll just stick to the desktop app for those tasks. Thanks!
But what if you just keep one game collection and one hardware collection?
And then use the filter top right (3 stripes shaped like a funnel) and then set it to… “In Collection” which then only shows games or hardware that are marked as “in collection”
That is what the collection status field is for, (same on the Windows version by the way, as far as how it was intended at least).
Thanks for the response. It gets a bit confusing for me having the sold games (dead to me) in with my wish list/collection (they’re alive!). I’ve sold about 900 items so it would pollute my collection. Now if the filter could be customized to select multiple collection status at one time (so I could ‘turn off’ sold, and have the software remember the choice), that would be cool. I use the desktop software filters to mix and match my collection status a lot. But if that’s not a likely feature then I’ll keep doing it the way I am. Thank you, as always.
