Hi I have just done a clean install of all my progs. Music collector no longer sees my printer. The Twain box is empty and refresh does nothing. It comes up with zero. I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, nope. I reinstalled MC over the top, Nope. Restarted heaps of times. The scanner scans OK from the Icon. Derek.
Something you could try is reinstall in 32 bit mode. It might help.
- download the full installer from your account at https://my.clz.com and install from there.
- while installing on the step that asks which version to install, choose the 32-BIT version.
If that doesn’t work you might want to run the program “as an admin” - that could work too.
How do I go back to 32bit? I have tried to reinstall it over the top but it shows I still have 64bit. If it is an uninstall - no way, It takes me nearly 24 hours to download near 6000 CD/Vinyl. While i’m on that subject, is there any way you can speed up that download. (My home net is not slow.) I have seen it vary in the past without me doing anything. My Mobile download flys.
Some thoughts
(1) What’s TWAIN got to do with it? Twain is for Scanners, not printers
(2) You haven’t included the Magic Words “I can print from xxx any yyy, but not MuC”. Have you tested the printer with other software?
(3) Have you tried a PDF printer? There are lots available, including one built in to Windows (or possibly you have to download it from the Microsoft store).
This would help you isolate the problem before you install 32 bit versions of MuC.
You do not have to uninstall. Just follow my instructions.
When you run the installer from my post, DURING installation, ONE of the screens (where you “next” and “accept the agreement” etc., you can opt to choose “32 bit”. That’s what you need.
Do you not see that during installation?
Yes, I have done that several times but when it look at my list of installed progs it says I am still using the 64bit version. I did say that earlier.
Kinda sounds like the program is installed in two locations
Can you double check the install folder, install it as 32 bit, actually go to that folder location, see if you can open it that way?
