New Functionality suggestion

Something that would be super useful with the app would be 2 items that revolve around the same need, comic variants.

  1. After you’ve scanned your comic into the database, when looking at the comic record it would be great if you could click to see a link of all variant covers and their designation (i.e. 1A, 1B, 1C, etc…)
  2. It would also be nice if you could search for upcoming comics and see the different comic covers that will be coming out.

I do realize that their are sites that do this, and that you can do this by going into the “add from core” and I also realize that you may not have all future cover type available. However it would be nice if you could do it from the main comic page for quick and easy reference.

Thanks for your suggestions.

  • Am I right in understanding that the first suggestion is that want to be able to quickly see “all other variants” that are available for a single issue that you do have, but you wish to see it “inside your collection”? (while you don’t have them in your collection?)

  • The second suggestion sounds like the NCBD tab. Tap the add button, then tap NCBD (New Comic Book Day) and you can see what is coming out this week (or next week, or further in the future. Read all about it:

As for #1 yes exactly. Sometimes I want to see if I’ve missed something and should go hunting for it.

As for #2, I was not aware that this even existed, thanks :slight_smile:

I understand 1.

For now I recommend tapping the “Find Missing Comics” while you’re inside a series folder. That might be quicker than going into Add Comics screen for you - and it also has a link to open it in Add Comics screen by the way.

Tap the pencil button in the missing comics screen to hide or show variants. It gives you a nice list that way!
