Searching through older posts indicate the most complete way to migrate data (including front/back covers) from DVD Profiler to CLZ was to use Movie Collector desktop software.
Since the desktop software has been discontinued and is no longer available to download, what is the best option for new users going forward? Does the only way to preserve my existing covers involve a completely manual replacement of each title?
CLZ Movies Web also has a DVD Profiler import you could use:
(menu top left, Import/Export > Import Data > DVD Profiler)
It imports the XML you got from DVD Profiler, and after that you should head over to the Link Movies screen, run that (most should link automatically with a high link score). Then you will get images from Core, from us, for your movies.
If you added images manually yourself in DVD Profiler, those can not be imported via the Web version.
If you wish to try to import using Movie Collector Windows, we can probably help you out with that, but only if you then sync with CLZ Cloud and move over to the Web version after (custom covers will upload to Cloud/Web version when syncing). I’m pretty particular about cover images, so I suspect I will need to attempt the Movie Collector route, but I will withhold final determination until I have the chance to see the results with the web import.
