Of course you can not open the Webb App with no Internet Connection.
But the Mobile App can be openend offline.
I was to fast with my posting (see my last reply to Alwin).
Sorry.
Just to note that I did not mean to pursuade anybody, I just wanted to sync up after my period of inactivity.
Can you please elaborate on switching over from the legacy desktop version to the cloud version?
If I understand correctly, when I switch over, the collection from my desktop version would be synced into the cloud version. However, what exactly happens to my desktop version then? Am I still able to use it? If yes, then does my desktop service plan terminate (since I switched it over to the cloud plan as a trade-in)? If yes, then am I (and how) still eligible to those ad hoc maintenance updates of the desktop version, in case they happen to be provided in the future?
And regarding the collections synchronization. If I understand correctly, after my collection is synced into the cloud, no backward sync is possible: additions made in the cloud would not be propagated to the legacy desktop version, right?
Did you run into a problem with that? Any error messages when you use the Sync with CLZ Cloud?
Yes, using the Sync with CLZ Cloud feature. But I assume you are already doing that now? I mean, you need that already for syncing with the mobile app?
However, what exactly happens to my desktop version then? Am I still able to use it?
That depends. If you use our Trade-In Offer to get the 4 free months, then you actually trade in your desktop license and subscription, and you cannot use the desktop software anymore.
But if you just buy a Web subscription NEXT to your desktop subscription, then you can use both, and sync the data back and forth.
No, if you do the trade-in, you stop using the desktop software. So you don’t need updates for that anymore.
And regarding the collections synchronization. If I understand correctly, after my collection is synced into the cloud, no backward sync is possible: additions made in the cloud would not be propagated to the legacy desktop version, right?
Syncing is two-ways, you can sync back and forth.
I am getting the feeling that you have never used the CLZ Cloud syncing? You don’t have the mobile app?
What I meant here was syncing myself with what’s going on with the product after not using it for quite some time
.
That sounds interesting, thanks!
True, never used that, and I don’t have the mobile app.
