Hello, I have a (small) suggestion.
When a book is a translation of another book, it is possible to include information about the original one (title, author, date…; however, the original ISBN is missing , in my opinion, would be useful to have.
Also, it would be a great bonus if entering the original ISBN could automatically populate the other details, though I imagine that might be more complicated to implement.
I’m not sure, we’ve never heard this one before, when a book comes out “originally” it could also be divided over multiple ISBNs.
What would you use this for exactly/ Which ISBN would you fill in?
i mean, let’s say my current book it’s a translation of another book (as in my photo), some years after: the original includes the original title, subtitle, author, publisher,country, date, language… why not also include the original ISBN (if present) ?

Basically as everything in this sofwtare, more precise infos… But if it’s to complicate to implement it doesn’t matter, was just a subjestion, Personally i prefer that than to having the publication place or country but everybody had his taste 
It’s not hard to implement, but it would just be a field, it wouldn’t obtain any automatic data. I just wonder how you would use this:
- do you know the original ISBN always
- would you then fill in that ISBN, and then expect the title/publisher etc be filled in the original section?
Or would you expect that on on any ISBN you add (regular book) the app would automatically obtain the original ISBN from somewhere and all the other data points for the original fields?
Some time of course the books, especially if old they don’t have any isbn, but actually i try to add more info to my collection (weight, sizes…) and i try also to add something i dind’t addes in the beginning many years ago, so, can be cool also to have the isbn of the original book, not only title, author, date, language…
Automatic data i think it’s more difficult, but maybe, if you type the original isbn, can be filled automatically, same when you try to add a new book with the isbn?
Hm, I guess I’m still not really seeing it. For now I recommend using “Custom Fields”, and just add a “Original ISBN” field there, make it a Number field.
If we ever decide to create this field later, you can likely use “Transfer Field Data” tool to move your original ISBN field that you’ve filled in, to our Original ISBN field then.
