Personal data missing

In reinstalling Movie Collector on my new computer, I followed your post on “Transferring from Windows to Windows” (Windows to Windows - Movie Collector for Windows - Latest). I copied my entire Movie Collector folder and copied everything in it to the same folder on my new computer. I downloaded Movie Collector, set up all the folders to point to the specific folders in the new directory. I downloaded everything from the cloud and everything downloaded perfectly — EXCEPT none of my personal episode changes downloaded. Since my “David’s Collection.mvc” is among the files I transferred, what did I do wrong and is there a way to get my personal emendations back?

I just noticed that, when I installed Movie Collector, the actual program files are in the directory “Program Files \ Collectorz.com \ Movie Collector”. Should I have pointed to that directory on the Settings folder location?

I’m kind of disappointed I haven’t gotten any kind of response from CLZ’s great tech guys after 9 days. Should I take that to mean nothing can be done to address my issue? (Or was it, hopefully, just an oversight?) Still love to hear from you if there’s an answer to my problem. Either way, thank you, as always!

I’m sorry I did not see this post back 14 days ago as I can immediately see what happened.

Syncing from CLZ Cloud is something you should not do when you follow the instructions “Windows to Windows” - as those instructions bypass the cloud and you should use those instructions if you have many personal changes to episodes or you use user defined fields etc.

This is the problem here. The “sync” does not download personal episode information.

If you moved your “David’s Collection.mvc” you should just use File > Open Database and open David’s Collection.mvc.

Your images will be broken that way, but if you really moved the Movie Collector folder from Documents from old computer to new computer, then this will fix that:

Great hearing from you and thank you for your suggestions. I’ll give it a try!
